As we know, TS files are more and more widely used for digital television, streaming across networks and the internet. Its design goal is to allow multiplexing of digital video and audio and to synchronize the output. But, in real life, you may find that TS files are not omnipotent. Sometimes, you have to convert TS to other popular video/audio formats you need. The tutorial will show the best way to convert TS to DivX (.avi) or MKV basced on my own experience.
Ready? Here we go.
Step 1: Free download a good ts converter, install and run it
Note: If you don’t own software that you can trust, this one called Moyea TS Converter or Mac TS Converter will be your good choice. It offers the trial version you can use whether you finally choose it or not.
Step 2: Add ts files into this program
Step 3: Select output format as DivX (.avi) or MKV
Step 4: Adjust audio/video parameters
To meet the demand of high video quality, it offers the option to adjust bit rate, frame rate, aspect ratio, size, and codec of Video as well as Audio by clicking the “Settings” button. Remember hit the “Save as” button to save the settings for next use by default.
Step 5: Start to convert ts to divx/mkv
Once all the settings are down, you can click the “Convert” button to start ts conversion.
Tips:
1) Tick the “Merge into one file”, you can join or combine several ts files into one
2) Click the “Edit” button, you can do the following jobs, like crop/cut, split/trim, add watermark/effects, replace audio and so on.
