If you are planning to copy ps2 game with DVD burner, you will require some basic tips to see you though. Let us have a look at some of these so you know what to do when faced with the situation.
The first thing you need is a chip, one that you can easily purchase with any gaming or electronics magazines. Then look for a useful software that can do the work for you. One decent one I came across is the Alcohol 120%, generally known as the best software to copy ps2 games. It is known to bypass practically all copyright protection as we know it today. Then there is the ‘Swap Magic’ software, that is useful for new style ps2 games. This one can be used with the old type ps2s as well, with the only difference that you’ll have to put a ‘flip top lid’ to do the needful with this software.
Here’s what to do if you want to copy the original game DVD for a backup copy.
• Step 1. Put the ps2 game CD in the DVD Rom/Burner of your computer.
• Step 2. In the DVD decryptor program, click on Mode/ISO/Read, and choose the DVD source as the drive that houses the game DVD. Make sure you select the place you want it stored on the Hard Disk. Clicking on ‘Decrypt’ will start the copying process and will make an iso file on the disk. It is preferable to take out the game once the copying is over. Do not worry, however, if it takes a little while as that is just plain and normal writing time for any CD/DVD.
• Step 3. Once this is over, look for the tab of ‘DVD Decryptor, and choose the option of Mode/ISO/Write. Make sure there is a CD/DVD in the DVD writer before this, so your software gets written. This step searches for the iso file that has just been written on the hard disk and burns it to the disk.
Simple, wasn’t it? So now you need not worry about having to copy ps2 game with dvd burner any more.
